General dentistry (often referred to as family dentistry), encompasses a variety of treatments aimed at the patient’s overall oral care.
Dental Implants are the closest restoration you can get to healthy, natural teeth. They are posts made of titanium, surgically positioned into the bone beneath the gum. A porcelain crown is then inserted onto the post to create your new, natural looking tooth.
A smile makeover has many benefits which aren’t necessarily only related to the patient’s oral health. Aside from the oral benefits, a smile makeover can be an aid to the patients overall health. Many patients seeking cosmetic work report they live with anxiety or embarrassment due to their oral “quirks of nature” or the effects aging or lifestyle choices has had on their teeth. This can lead to self-esteem issues, lack of confidence and general withdrawal or depression in the patient’s day to day activities.
We understand not everyone loves dentistry like we do. Although dentistry has changed over the years, some patients are plagued with fear and anxiety and will often forgo necessary dental treatment which can ultimately affect their overall health.
